Child Trafficking Team Bursted In Abia, Children Sold For 20k Each

Abia State Police Command have busted a child trafficking syndicate after the gang abducted children, 3-year-old Marvelous Monday and David belonging to Mrs Happiness Monday and Mrs Rejoice Ikechukwu.

It was gathered that the gang abducted children of 2-3 years, who were both of Umuochialla village in Osisioma Local Government Area of Abia State, using biscuits and candies as baits.

According to the Commissioner of Police, Janet Agbede who paraded the suspects on Friday at the command headquarters, she said that the suspects were tracked and arrested at various location.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the children were sold by 17-year-old Chinonso Sylvanus and 31-year-old Ekene Duru, for N20,000 each to 45-year-old Rose Okoro and 38-year-old Ngozi Ukpai.
