ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER had earlier reported that the 21 year old Okolie, was arrested and detained by the IRT in Owerri, Imo State, after a Human Rights Activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, made her illegal detention public. It was alleged that the IRT team turned her to a cook and laundry woman, while they allegedly continued to extort money from her family.
Following the intervention of the Human Right Group, it was gathered that Okolie was transferred to IRT Abuja. According to the police, she was arrested as a soft target for allegedly being a spy to the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra's Eastern Security Network.
However, Human rights activist and Director-General, Behind Bars Initiative, and others, dragged the police to court to respect the fundamental rights to freedom of the lady.
