Court Pardons EFCC Director, Reverses Arrest Order | READ FULL DETAILS
Justice Abubakar Hussaini Musa of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court, has vacated an earlier order of the court directing the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun to arrest the Director of Proceeds of Crime Department of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Aliyu Usman.

The court had ordered the arrest of Usman for disobeying the ruling of the court directing operatives of the Commission to vacate a property at Number 6, Aso Drive, Abuja.

However, the court on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, granted the prayers of EFCC Counsel, Francis Usani for leniency and purging of the contempt.

Justice Musa frowned against disobedience of his orders and thereafter discharged Usman of the contempt.

The matter was adjourned to April 11, 2024, for judgment on the main suit.
