Court Sacks Adeleke As Osun Governor | READ FULL DETAILS
The elections petitions tribunal has sacked Senator Ademola Adeleke from his position as the Osun state governor.

Justice Tetsea Kume, while delivering a majority decision on Friday, ruled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) did not comply substantially with the constitution and the provisions of the Electoral Act.

According to the judge, Adegboyega Oyetola of the APC scored the majority lawful votes of 314,931 against Adeleke's 290,266.

The court ordered INEC to withdraw the certificate of return issued to Adeleke and issue same to Oyetola.

The judgement followed a petition by the All Progressive Congress's candidate , Adegboyega Oyetola against the July 16, 2022 victory of Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party.
