COVID-19 Again, El-Rufai Goes Into Isolation |READ FULL

Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has again gone into self isolation, as one of his family members and some senior Government officials close to him tested positive for Covid-19.

This was disclosed by the Governor in a short video on his officials Twitter handle @GovKaduna late Friday night.

The tweet and video read that, "Malam Nasir @elrufai has been notified of more positive Covid-19 test results of persons close to him, including an immediate family member and senior officials of the Kaduna State Government.

"As a precaution, he is in self-isolation pending a test by Sunday.ÔÇØ

Governor El-Rufai in the video, however called on the people of Kaduna State to abide by the laid down Covid-19 protocols, urging them to always wash the hands with soap under running water, wear face mask while leaving their houses and avoid gathering of more than six people as the festive period approaches.

He promised to report the outcome of his test to the people of Kaduna State on Sunday.

The Nation recalled that, Governor Nasir El-Rufa'i was the first Covid-19 case recorded in Kaduna during the first wave of the pandemic.

The Governor was quarantined and treated by the medical team of Kaduna State for 21 days before exiting the virus.
