COVID-19: Church might not open until 2021 - Tunde Bakare

The General Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church formerly known as Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has said the church will not open until later in the year.
Bakare stated this while speaking at the second edition of the virtual 3Gz session of the CGCC Legacy Youth Fellowship.

The cleric noted that "government cannot shut the church, it can only shut a building".

According to him, during a meeting with the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his team, it was predicted that a lot of COVID-19 cases are likely to be recorded in the State and Nigeria.
When Bakare was asked when the church will reopen, the pastor admitted he was looking at September or the end of the year.

"We are not opening till the coast is clear," he said.
