Daniel Okeke Declares Support for Governor Alex Otti's Second Term | READ WHY

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has been encouraged to prepare for a second term in office by Chief Daniel Chimezie Okeke, Ph.D., a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Chief Okeke, speaking at his residence in Ututu, Arochukwu Local Government Area, during a New Year visit by the governor, confidently declared that Governor Otti's re-election would be stress-free due to his remarkable achievements across the state.

Chief Okeke, an influential businessman and philanthropist, praised Governor Otti for restoring pride in Abia State through significant improvements in healthcare, infrastructure, and education. He highlighted the ongoing renovation of 200 primary healthcare centers across the state, including three in the Ututu community, as a transformative step that would reduce preventable deaths in rural areas.

"I wasn't proud to say I am from Abia before, but now I can raise my shoulders high," Dr. Okeke stated, lauding the governor's people-oriented governance and integrity.

Chief Daniel Okeke commended the governor for addressing the longstanding challenges of the Arochukwu-Ohafia Road, a key artery for the community. He also noted progress in the education sector, including school renovations, security enhancements, and plans to re-employ and train retired teachers.

"Infrastructure, education, and healthcare-Governor Otti is touching every sector and doing what governance is all about," he emphasized.

Governor Otti thanked Chief Okeke and other stakeholders who gathered to welcome him, reiterating his commitment to inclusive governance that prioritizes competence over ethnic or political affiliations. He reassured Abians of his administration's dedication to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, highlighting the importance of public-private partnerships.

Otti also disclosed that the renovation of 200 health centers would be completed within his 100-day mandate, with another 200 slated for the next phase. He announced that Julius Berger would deliver the long-awaited Port Harcourt Road project next month, signaling continued infrastructure progress.

The governor stressed the collective efforts of Southeast governors to enhance regional security and pledged to uphold his vision of building "an Abia that works for everyone."

The gathering included professionals from various industries and political heavyweights from Arochukwu LGA, all united in their praise for Governor Otti's transformative leadership.

Dr. Daniel Okeke called on all Abians to support the governor, asserting, "The second tenure would be stress-free because every well-meaning Abian wants him to continue the good work he is doing."
