The defamation trial involving Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Kenneth Ahia and Ikechukwu Iroha Agwu saw fresh developments today as the defendant, under cross-examination, admitted to several key claims made by the claimant. Though no court ruling was given, Iroha's statements marked a significant turn in the ongoing legal tussle.

The case, which has been in the spotlight for months, revolves around allegations of defamation leveled against Ahia, SAN by Iroha. During today's proceedings, the defendant accepted some of the positions put forward by the claimant, further intensifying the legal battle.

He met his wife while both were government employees.

A revalidation of appointment document listing his name as "Ikechukwu Iroha" was presented as evidence in court. While he insisted the publication was later corrected to add Agwu, he did not present any proof of the supposed correction.

He created the video played as evidence in court, acknowledging its authenticity. Where he was singing "One one Bbbb, one one Billion Naira" mocking Ahia, SAN.
He posited that Kenneth Ahia, SAN, is his elder brother, adding a new twist.
Earlier in the proceedings, before today's cross-examination, the claimant's legal team had applied for an amendment of the defendant's name on the suit from "Ikechukwu Iroha" to "Ikechukwu Iroha Agwu." Though opposed by the defense, the application was granted by the court.
