Delta: Govt Pulls Down Illegal Shops at Boji-Boji Main Market

Operatives of Ika North East Environmental Taskforce in Delta on Wednesday 17th June, 2020 began the demolition of all illegal structures, shanties, kiosks and containerized shops at Boji-Boji Main Market.

Speaking on the demolition, the Council Chairman, Hon. Barr. Victor Ebonka disclosed that the exercise became imperative owing to the challenge of observing the social distancing precautionary measure in the market.

The Council boss, also used the medium to inform Food traders that arrangement is already in place to relocate them soon to a permanent site where the social distancing precautionary measure would be made practicable.

He also said he regrets any inconveniences this development will cause the traders.
