Dike Abia at 70: Umuasua Community Celebrates Lt. Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika's Enduring Legacy of Service

The Umuasua Progressive Association (UPA), on behalf of the entire Umuasua community in Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State, has extended warm felicitations to the illustrious son of Isuikwuato, Lt. Gen. Onyeabo Azubuike Ihejirika (Rtd), CFR "Dike AbiaÔÇØ, on the occasion of his 70th birthday.

In a formal statement jointly signed by the President General of UPA, Mazi Ozoemena Igbokwe, and the General Secretary, Emenike Iroegbu, the association expressed deep appreciation for the retired General's outstanding contributions to Nigeria, Isuikwuato LGA, and particularly to the Umuasua community.

The association described Lt. Gen. Ihejirika as a distinguished military officer whose years of service to the nation were marked by discipline, courage, and commitment to institutional development. As Chief of Army Staff from 2010 to 2014, he played a critical role in strengthening operational frameworks within the Nigerian Army and reinforcing professionalism during a challenging period in the country's security history.

Beyond his national service, the community commended him for maintaining strong ties with his roots and for his consistent support toward initiatives aimed at fostering unity and development withinIsuikwuato area.
