As Nigerians marked Workers' Day on May 1st, former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah (CON, FCA), has sent a powerful message of hope and inspiration to workers across the country, urging them to embrace the new month of May as a season of purpose, progress, and power.

In his goodwill message titled "Happy New Month and a Glorious Workers' Day,ÔÇØ Dr. Ogah reminded Nigerians of the historic struggle by workers in the 19th century to secure better working conditions and dignity in labour-an effort that gave birth to the May Day celebration globally.

"May Day is more than a holiday; it's a tribute to the courage of those who demanded fairness at a time when workers were treated as mere tools. Today, we must remember that diligence truly deserves honour,ÔÇØ he stated.

Quoting Colossians 3:23, Dr. Ogah stressed the importance of commitment and excellence, encouraging Nigerians to work "as unto the Lord and not unto men,ÔÇØ regardless of profession-whether in the office, classroom, marketplace, workshop, or ministry.

He prayed that this new month would bring every Nigerian worker divine reward, renewed strength, and fresh opportunities, emphasizing that May should be seen as a month of "multiplied grace and glorious results.ÔÇØ

"As we step into May, I speak encouragement into your life-may you not only find fulfilment in your labour, but may you also reap greatly from your efforts. This is your month of reward,ÔÇØ he declared.

The message has since sparked renewed enthusiasm among his followers and supporters, many of whom praised Dr. Ogah for always standing for the empowerment of workers and upholding the values of integrity, discipline, and productivity.
