Don't buy trouble, reject looted, cheap items - Police warn Lagos residents

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, has warned against collection or purchase of looted or cheap items.

Police warned everyone in the state to remain vigilant and avoid buying or collecting what may land them in trouble.

Muyiwa Adejobi, Public Relations Officer, issued the warning in a statement on Monday.

Odumosu said the loots from the hoodlums are hard-earned property of innocent Nigerians and such must not be found in anyone's possession.

The CP spoke in Ikeja while reacting to reports on the recent crises orchestrated by armed thugs.

"In as much as the command keeps on receiving complaints against such criminal acts, the police will go after anyone culpable and his or her accomplices, either for conspiracy or receiving stolen items or accessory after the fact accordingly", he said.

Odumosu advised business people and all residents not to patronize criminals.
