EBONYI (#EndSARS): Umahi Relaxes 24 Hours Curfew, Gives New Directive

The Governor of Ebonyi State,His Excellency, Engr Chief David Nweze Umahi has relaxed the 24 hours curfew he earlier declared in the state. This information is contained in a press release made available to AFNEWS and signed by Hon. Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji, Commissioner for Information and State Orientation Ebonyi State.

Consequently, the Governor has directed that with effect from Friday, 23rd October, 2020, there shall be 8pm to 8am curfew across the state.

He urges all the Stakeholders, Security Agencies and residents of the state to do everything possible within the ambit of the law to protect the citizenry from any form of violent protest and wanton destruction of lives and property in the state, while assuring the people of his commitment towards the protection of their lives and property.
