EID EL MAULUD: IKPEAZU SALUTES MOSLEMS IN ABIA STATE

The Governor of Abia State State, Okezie Ikpeazu, PhD has sent a warm greetings to moslems in the State on the celebration of the Id El Maulud which commemorates the birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammed.

Governor Ikpeazu urges moslems especially those from Abia State to use the opportunity afforded by the celebration to reflect on the significance of the birth of the Holy Prophet and to rededicate themselves to the virtues of peace and to continue to make meaningful contributions to the development of the state.

The Governor advised moslems in the state to continue to shun any acts that will promote division amongst adherents of different religions in the state nothing that all religions preach love, peace and good neighborliness.

Ikpeazu assured all moslems and indeed, adherents of all religious faiths that his administration will continue to provide enabling environments for the promotion of peace.
