This year's Emeka Nnamani Foundation annual free medical outreach kicked off on Tuesday, 15th February, 2022 at Enitona Hotel, No 8 Margaret Avenue, GRA, Aba.
The annual free medical outreach program for the treatment of people in the society with bad eye sight will hold for three days, starting from Tuesday, 15th to Thursday, 17th February, 2022.

In his opening remarks while declaring the outreach open, the Founder of EMEKA NNAMANI FOUNDATION and the initiator of the free medical outreach program, Rotarian Hon. Emeka Nnamani, stated that this year's free medical outreach is dedicated to the cherished memory of one of his beloved American Partner, Late Dr. Mrs Nne Ngumoha who died in September last year few days after she arrived Nigeria in preparation for the free medical outreach.

Speaking further, he stated that the free medical outreach program is purely humanitarian and have no political undertone whatsoever as the beneficiaries' cuts across people from different places, locations and backgrounds.
He said his Foundation aside from Abia State, in collaboration with his foreign partners and donors, which includes, Bill and Melinda Gate Foundation, The Universal Mission, USA and The Lions Club, USA have in the past five years carried out similar free medical outreaches in many other states and places within and outside Nigeria, like Enugu, Ebonyi, Liberia and another one scheduled to hold in Akwa Ibom State soonest.

Continuing, he said that his Foundation in the last five years have also solely paid for major sight corrective surgeries for seventeen indigent people that were partially or completely blind and the surgeries were successfully carried out and their sight fully restored.

Nnamani said that his Foundation is in possession of twenty five thousand medical glasses donated by his foreign partners for distribution and a budget to pay for another ten major sight corrective surgeries for those that are partially or completely blind but cannot afford the cost of such major sight corrective surgeries to be fully funded by EMEKA NNAMANI FOUNDATION.
He advised other well to do people in the society to embark in similar philanthropic gestures to better the lives of the less privileged as people can only be remembered for the good legacies left behind and not the volume of money left in the banks after they have departed this world.

Many of the beneficiaries interviewed expressed their profound gratitude and appreciation to Hon. Emeka Nnamani for his humanitarian and kind gesture for coming to their aid in restoring their bad eye sight.
