Enugu fatal accident: Buhari group wants school children immortalized

The Enugu State chapter of President Muhammadu Buhari, PMB Solidarity Movement has commended the presidency, as well as Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi over their response to the fatal accident at Awgu Local Government of the State.

The accident, which occurred on Wednesday claimed the life of scores of school children.

Reacting, the group, in a statement signed by its State Coordinator, Comrade Adolphus Ude and the Secretary, Hon. Robert Ngwu said the quick response from both the Federal and the State Government was quite commendable.
The group said, "the unfortunate death of these bright kids is one that has thrown all of us into deep sadness. It is a loss that is hugely unquantifiable.

"However, we acknowledge the swift response so far from President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State.
"We use this opportunity to urge the Federal Government to reconstruct that road where this fatal accident took place, the roundabout, especially should be designed. This will be a way of honouring and immortalizing these innocent kids who were sent to untimely graves.

"Our passionate appeal equally goes to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi's administration to increase the number of doctors at the General Hospitals as this would help during emergency situations.

"We commend as well the chairman of Awgu Local Government who rushed t the scene immediately this incident occured. That is indeed a mark of true leadership.

"Our heart goes out to the parents of the victims and the Catholic Bishop of Awgu Diocese over this irreparable loss. May the good Lord grant their souls peaceful repose."
