EPL: Liverpool's Salah Moves To Beat Cristiano Ronaldo In New Contract Deal

Egyptian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Liverpool, Mohamed Salah has demanded an increase on his weekly wages.

With less than two years left of his current contract with the Reds, Salah is asking Liverpool for a £500,000 per week payment.

All Facts News understands that Salah has been having an outstanding performance at Liverpool over the last four seasons. The Reds are keen on keeping the Egyptian at Anfield but the forward is asking for even twice his current payment per week in order to stay.

If all works well for Salah, the Reds top goalscorer would b earning more than Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United, All Facts News understands.

Ronaldo who has just returned to his former club is now the top-earner in the English Premier League. Though below his previous earning at Juventus where he had left.

Meanwhile, Salah is currently receiving around £200,000 a week at Liverpool.

Reacting to Salah's demand during a recent interview with talkS PORT, former Arsenal player, Groves said though the Egyptian is deserving of the increase, he would not get it at Liverpool.

According to him, Liverpool is not the type of club that could spend such an amount on a player weekly.

Groves said: "He merits more but he's not going to get ┬ú500,000-a-week,ÔÇØ

"I think this is the first in the duelling of the negotiations but if he wants to stay he'll have to come down a bit.

"His numbers are outstanding. He still got 22 league goals in a team that wasn't firing last year.

"He does deserve another contract but Liverpool is not in the realms of paying a player £500,000-a-week.

"He might have to be a bit more realistic in his demands. Is this him saying 'right, I could be off? Who knows? He's definitely not getting 500 grand-a-week, no chance,ÔÇØ Groves stressed.
