Everton want Jack Grealish on loan but face competition from several Premier League clubs and Napoli for Manchester City man - Paper Round
Tuesday's Paper Round leads on Jack Grealish, with Everton interested in bringing the Manchester City winger to Merseyside on loan for the season. Elsewhere, Brentford will not sell Yoane Wissa to Newcastle United until they find a new striker themselves, Manchester United are planning to bid for Benjamin Sesko, and Granit Xhaka is on the verge of joining Sunderland from Bayer Leverkusen.

Everton are looking at signing Manchester City winger Jack Grealish on loan for the season, The i Paper reports.

Everton will prepare to make a pitch to Grealish but are aware they face competition from several Premier League clubs, including West Ham United.

The i Paper adds: "Serie A champions Napoli have also been linked with a move for Grealish, whose wages mean that any transfer would require compromises from City, the player and whichever club signs him.
"At the moment Everton are waiting to hear City's conditions and whether they will prioritise a permanent exit for the 29-year-old.
"But their interest is genuine and he is on a list of ambitious targets as they look to step up the pace of their summer recruitment drive."

Brentford won't sell Wissa - yet

Brentford will refuse to sell Yoane Wissa to Newcastle for any price until they can find a replacement for the striker, The i Paper reports.

Newcastle value Wissa at £30m, but their move for the DR Congo international is proving tricky given the other moving parts involving both clubs.

The i Paper adds: "It is understood that Wissa is viewed as a replacement for Callum Wilson and is not seen as Alexander Isak's possible successor.
"However, with Brentford having already lost Bryan Mbeumo to Manchester United, they are not contemplating shipping another important forward who contributed 19 goals to their Premier League campaign last season.
"Talk of their valuation being £50m for Wissa is understood to be inaccurate."

Xhaka close to Sunderland move

Granit Xhaka is on the verge of signing for Sunderland after the newly promoted Premier League side agreed a £17m deal with Bayer Leverkusen, the Guardian reports.

The ex-Arsenal midfielder was eager to return to the Premier League and he is now set to sign a three-year deal with The Black Cats, who will pay £13m up front for the Switzerland international.

The Guardian adds: "Leverkusen's head coach, Erik ten Hag, was keen on keeping Xhaka at Leverkusen having already lost Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Jonathan Tah this summer.
