EXCLUSIVE: Abraham Amah Gives Insight Into The Fallouts Of Abia PDP Primaries | WATCH VIDEO

Amid calls by some persons for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to hold a re-run of some of the primaries held in Abia state, the Acting State publicity secretary of the Party, Elder Abraham Amah, has insisted that the PDP has conducted and settled all primary election without any pending.

There have been agitation from some angles owing to the alleged non-conduct of primary elections in some constituencies.

Addressing the issue while featuring on AF-TV Programme 'Focal Point' on Thursday, June 16, 2022, Amah stated that candidates for various positions have already emerged and certificate of return issued to the flag-bearers ahead of the 2023 general elections.

"primaries have taken place in 24 state constituencies in the state. We have flag-bearers for 8 federal constituencies; we have flag bearers for the 3 senatorial zones; all of them have emerged and all of them have been given a certificate of return. INEC has also released to us nomination forms which we have given to them and also returned to INECÔÇØ Amah said.

When asked if he sees a need to improve on the 3-man-delegates which caused division in the party, Amah affirmed that all parts of human activities require improvement, however the PDP did her best "under the circumstance we found ourselves and everything about that primary is settledÔÇØ he maintained.

The spokesman expressed confidence that the party's recently concluded primaries is fit to stand the test of time in any law court.

"I am very confident that what we have done will stands" Amah said.

On the issue of reconciliation within the party, Elder Amah revealed that a reconciliation team was set up even before the primaries and that they have been doing their job. He went further to state that the Local Government Chairmen were charged to intensify reconciliation within there LGAs and that result has been good.

On the issue of defection from the party, Amah maintained that the defections from the party will not affect the outcome of 2023 election because as people are leaving the party, other people are joining the party in droves. He equally maintained that bulk of the party structure is still intact.
