EXCLUSIVE AUDIO ATTACHED: ELDER ERONDU OPENS UP FROM DETENTION, SAYS HE IS SICK, LAMENTS LACK OF PROPER CARE

After series of investigation regarding what led to the arrest of Elder Azubuike Erondu, we have received a direct chat with him just as he opens up on many issues as well as his failing health.

Speaking in a telephone chat, he explained that he was arrested based on what he wrote some time ago concerning Ururuka road which he said has been in a deplorable condition.

According to him, he stated that what led him to write the article, was when he found out that the road remained the way it was even when an award for its construction has been made.

Continuing, Elder Erondu hinted that when he asked why the road remained like that, no one answered thereby infuriating him to write against the ills that he see around which he does not like, adding that a group of people called Concerned Abia Citizens Initiative petitioned him over what they termed as writing against the power that be.

He further said that they are many questions which have remained unanswered such as why the Local Government retirees in the State have not received their Pensions for a long time now, which has made them to be dying on daily basis due to hardship.

He went further to explained that even retired staff of government in the state have not been paid arrears for 19 months, pointing out that these and many more made some group of people to be against him.

He lamented that ever since he was arrested, not proper treated has been giving to him considering his ill health which according to him, is getting worst by the day, adding that he never blackmailed any one for money, as he awaits his charge to court.
