AFNEWS gathered that on Thursday, a cash donation of N50, 000 each were made to the four (4) family of the PDP faithful who lost their lives on a return from Anambra State on a party function. Speaking while handing over the funds to the families, Sir Lucky Johnson reminded the women of his gratitude to God Almighty for keeping them alive and pledged his further commitment in assisting them in any way he could.

On his part, the Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji (MNSE), represented by the Lawmaker representing Umuahia South State Constituency, Hon. (Barr.) Jerry Uzosike remembered the long-promised made to these family by the PDP of which Sir Lucky Johnson has taken the bull by the horn. The Speaker also pledged to support the women and their families with a cash donation of N50, 000 each while assuring them of their readiness to always come to their aid and make them understand that the PDP family cares.
Addition to the effort in alleviating the suffering of these families, the Pro-Chancellor and owner of the Gregory University, Uturu, Prof. Gregory Ike Ibe promised the bereaved families for a scholarship to a member of their families in his university.

In appreciation, one of the beneficiaries of the support, Mrs Nzekwe Nkechi Juliet, who spoke to AFNEWS expressed gratitude while thanking Sir Lucky Johnson for his efforts. She equally expressed her joy to the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly and Prof. Ibe for coming to their assistance and prayed God Almighty to replenish them and grant them long life and prosperity.

The programme had in attendance top dignitaries in the echelon of power in Abia State, the PDP family and Isuikwuato, which include the Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji (MNSE), represented by the Lawmaker representing Umuahia South State Constituency, Hon. (Barr.) Jerry Uzosike, the Member representing the Isiala-Ngwa North/South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Darlington Nwokocha, former Commissioners of Sports and his colleague in the Ministry of Strategy and Social Development, Hon. Henry Agbaeze and High Chief (Hon.) Obinna Ekekwe, the former and immediate PDP Chairmen, Chief E.C. Emeruwa and Hon. Chinedu Igbokwe, the Director-General, Ikuku Oma Apostles, Barr. Enyioma Okpanku, the Director-General, Sir Lucky Johnson Cares Organization, Hon. Okechukwu Okorie, the Methodist Bishop of Isuikwuato Dioceses, The Rt. Rev. G.U. Kanu among other dignitaries.
