EXCLUSIVE [Video]: Something Is Wrong With Religion, Not Igbo Tradition - Apostle Uma Udah Explains

Abia State born gospel minister, Apostle Uma Udah, has revealed that nothing is wrong with igbo tradition, rather something is wrong with religion.

The minister who went viral after wearing Ohafia cultural attire to church, gave this defense in an exclusive interview with AF Television on Wednesday, June 16th, 2021.

He further emphasized that Igbo culture and tradition is beautiful and warned that people should not mix culture, tradition with idolatry.

He stated that culture is all about what we wear, what we eat, how we carry out traditional marriage event and other social gatherings. He stated that you can be a cultural person without getting involved in idolatry.

The sensational man of God of Tower of Revelation Ministry, stated that the problem we have in Africa is religion and not Christianity, that religion condemns peoples way of life, but imports other traditions for the same people.

Apostle Uma Udah revealed that Father Christmas that is celebrated by religious people in Nigeria and Africa is actually the masquerade of a man the white man. The tie, suits and other foreign wears are imported, meanwhile religion is condemning our own.

"Christianity and religion are not the same, the problem we have in Africa is religious problem. A Catholic man believes that a winners chapel man is not worshiping God well. An Assemblies of God believe that a Deeper Life is not doing it well.

"the generational I see myself is a generation of religion not real Christianity."

The Apostle went further to defend his attire, noting that his motivation is to make people know that there are still good things in the African culture.

"what I wore that day, that was how I met my dad, my fathers; I didn't see them wearing collar and there is no place in the Bible where the Bible said this attire are for the preachers.

" I was not naked, I was wearing something. What motivates me is to make people know that there are still good things in Africa. There is no culture in Africa that is not good.

"There is difference between idol worshiping and culture.

"Idol worshiping is when people bring a wood and worship it as their god, but when I wear my traditional wear, I'm giving God thanks for creating us.

"My wearing skin is reminding God that I'm thankful for covering our forefathers. Anytime we wear that, it's a symbol; you are reminding God the beginning that you used an animal skin to cover our nakedness.

Apostle Udah advised especially the south easterners, to be proud of their cultures.
