FG Declares Public Holidays For Christmas, New Year Celebration | READ DETAILS
To mark the 2022 Christmas celebration and boxing day, the Federal Government of Nigeria has declared December 26 and 27 as public holidays.

A statement released by by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Dr Shuaib Belgore, on behalf of the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, also announced January 2, 2023 as a public holiday to mark the new year.

Aregbesola in his felicitation message to Christians harped on the need to emulate the life of Christ and also practice his teachings.

"We must imbibe the life of Jesus Christ in His practice and teachings on humility, service, compassion, patience, peace and righteousness, that his birth signifies.

"This will be the best way to portray Christ and celebrate his birthÔÇØ the minister said.
