FG Postpones 2023 Census, Fixes New Date | READ DETAILS
The Federal Government has postponed the 2023 population and housing census earlier scheduled for March 29, by two months.

The Minister for Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, while announcing the change on Wednesday, in Abuja at the end of the Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by the President Muhammadu Buhari disclosed that the census will now hold in May, 2023.

According to the minister, the change in date became necessary after the Independent and National Electoral Commission (INEC), moved the governorship and state house of assembly elections from March 11, to March 18.
