fire outbreak at WAEC headquarters is false - Council denies

West African Examinations Council, has said there was no fire incident at its headquarters or any WAEC office in Nigeria.

A statement signed by its Head of Public Affairs, Demianus Ojijeogu, said the publication was false.

He said, "The attention of the West African Examinations Council has been drawn to rumours being peddled by some online media that there was a fire outbreak at WAEC Headquarters, Abuja.

"We hereby categorically state that there was no fire incident at WAEC Headquarters or any WAEC office in Nigeria, for that matter.
