First Bank Refutes Claims Of It Shutting Down Its South East Branches

The First Bank of Nigeria has refuted claims that it has shut down its branches across the south-East for security reasons.

First bank had on May 31, announced that; "our South East branches are temporarily closed today.... please use our alternative channels to transact.ÔÇØ

The social media went buzzing last weekend with rumors that branches of First bank in the south eastern part of the country have been shut following attacks.

It left people querying how they would access their money deposited in the bank.
Responding on Wednesday, June 2, through series of tweets from First Bank official handle, the banking agency said;

"This is to inform the public that our South East branches are fully open for business. Please disregard any news making the rounds that is contrary to thisÔÇØ.
