FN Nwosu Mourns Okpara, Ironsi's Wives

A former governorship aspirant in Abia State,Sir Friday Nwosu, has condoled with the families of former military Head of State of Nigeria, General Johnson Aguiyi Ironsi and former Premier of defunct Eastern Nigeria, Dr.Michael Okpara, over the death of their widows and matriarchs,Victoria and Adanma.

He described the death of the two former first ladies as a huge loss to the Nigeria and the nine states which made up the defunct Eastern Region of Nigeria.

"I condole with the families of the late former military Head of State of Nigeria, General JTU Aguiyi Ironsi and the former Premier of the defunct Eastern Region,Dr.Michael OK para,over the death of the former first ladies,Mama Victoria Aguiyi Ironsi and Mama Adanma Okpara.My condolences also go to the Governments and people of Federal Republic of Nigeria and the nine States which made up the former Eastern Region particularly the Government and people of Abia State for the loss of our two jewels and matriarchs.

"The death of the two precious wives and mothers of our country are huge losses to the concerned Governments and people of Nigeria and the States.

"We can only ask the Aguiyi Ironsi and Okpara families to be consoled that Mama Victoria Aguiyi Ironsi and Mama Adanma Okpara lived very fulfilled and eventful lives and contributed immensely to nation building at the times it mattered most.
