Senegal has made history with their first win in the just concluded African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2021 fiesta in Cameroon.

The Lions of Teraga had scaled through tasking games in the group, round of 16, quarter and semi final stages to gain a spot at the finals for the coveted trophy against Carlos Queiroz's Pharaohs of Egypt.

Sadio Mane's Senegal defeated Mo Salah's Egypt in the final showdown on Sunday, 6th of February 2022 , clinching a deserved first time victory on penalty kicks that ended with 4-2 score line at Olembe Stadium in Yaound├®, Cameroon.
