Former Golden Eaglet and Flying Eagles Coach John Obuh, have endorsed the Labour Party Governorship candidate in Abia State Dr. Alex Otti OFR.

While interacting with newsmen in Umuahia, Obuh posited that Abia State has done well in sports for a while and he believes that Otti will fix the issues.

He called on all well meaning Abians to vote and support Alex Otti as the electorates go to the poll on Saturday 18th March 2023.

John Obuh who hails from Ohafia, coached the Golden Eaglets to win the FIFA Fair Play Award at the 2009 U-17 World Cup, where Nigeria finished second behind Switzerland.

Obuh won the 2010 WAFU Club Championship with Sharks FC of Port Harcourt.
The former Kwara United FC of Ilorin gaffer also managed Akwa United FC of Uyo, Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna, and Enugu Rangers in Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), among others.

He had stints with Abiola Babes, Julius Berger, Enugu Rangers, Enyimba International FC of Aba, Udoji United, etc., as a player.
