Former Spokesman To IBB During Days As Military Head, Dies

Duro Onabule, former spokesman to Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) during his days as military Head Of States has died.

Onabule who died on Tuesday, August 16th was aged 83 and was born in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state.

He had attended CMS Grammar School in Lagos before moving on to the London School of Journalism, started working as a journalist for Daily Express in 1961, and later joined Daily Sketch three years later.

Onabule returned to Daily Express after working with Daily Sketch for a period. He also worked with Daily Times in the 1970s and In 1984 when Concord press was established, He was appointed features editor and rose to become editor of the newspaper.
