FUNAAB To Graduate 112 First-Class Students Tomorrow

(FUNAAB) is to graduate 112 First Class Degree students on Tuesday.

This was disclosed by institution's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Felix Salako, while addressing journalists on the 27th convocation ceremony of the school, on Monday.

He revealed that a total of 3,226 students who completed their programmes for the 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 academic sessions would bag different degrees.

Salako described the institution as a citadel that nurtures students with worthy character, appealed to the federal government for better funding.

He also appealed for support in the area of regular power and water supply.

The University would confer an honorary degree on the President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr Akinwunmi Adesina at the forthcoming convocation of the institution.

Adesina, a former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development will be conferred with the Degree of Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa)

Others to be honoured alongside the AFDB President are two former Vice-Chancellors of the institution, Prof. Julius Amioba Okojie and Prof. Israel Folorunsho Adu.

The VC said the recipients of the award had made invaluable contributions to national development in the field of Agriculture.
