GOV. IKPEAZU, OGAH, OTTI SET TO GRACE, RECEIVE AFN AWARDS

The Abia State Governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu PhD, has praised the efforts of the Abia Facts Newspaper in maintaining balanced and objective journalism.

Speaking through his Chief of Staff Dr. ACB Agbazuere, at government house Umuahia, Dr. Ikpeazu accepted his nomination as Media Friendly Governor of the year 2019 and thanked Abia Facts Newspaper for recognizing his efforts in governance.

Mean while, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) gubernatorial candidate in the just concluded general election in Abia State Dr. Alex Otti and the All Progressives Congress counterpart Honorbale Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Sampson Ogah are set to receive the AFN recognition Awards 2019 for their Contributions to the Advancement of Democracy in Abia State.

Speaking in a telephone conversation, the Media aide to Dr. Alex Otti, Mr. Ferdinand Ekeoma stated that Dr. Otti appreciates the Award being conferred on him, and thanked Abia Facts Newspaper for deeming him fit to be so honored, adding that he will be there at Confidence Hotel Umuahia on the 20th 0f December 2019, to receive the Award.

On his part, the Editor-in-Chief of Abia Facts Newspaper, Mr. Emenike Iroegbu hinted that the Awards is in a bid to honor and appreciate people from all walks of life, especially those who have contributed immensely in various fields of discipline towards the growth of the State.

He said that the recognition award as Media Friendly Governor of the year 2019 is to appreciate his Excellency, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu on the way has been relating with the Media in the State which has brought relative peace and tranquility.

Mr. Iroegbu further stated that the Awards since inception, has helped greatly to bring politicians across party lines to come together to seek for ways to advance the fortunes of the State, pointing out that the 2019 edition is more bigger and better and urged Abians to come out en masse on 20th December 2019 at Confidence Hotel Umuahia so as to see things for themselves.
