GOV. IKPEAZU SLAMS HARD ON BROTHELS, DRUG HIDEOUTS IN UMUAHIA, 4 CLOSED DOWN

Few days ago, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu gave a marching order to security agencies in Umuahia, mandating them to immediately sweep into action and stop the increase of crime around some particular areas in the Umuahia capital city.

Based on the information available to AFN, 4 brothels have been closed down by security operatives in Umuahia.

The closed brothels were allegedly used as hideouts for hoodlums who terrorized the residents of the state capital.

We gathered that innocent Residents were being robbed of their belongings at gunpoint in identified black spots in the city centre consistently which prompted the action of the governor.

The brothels closed are located along Orlu road, Cameroon Street Off Owerri Road and Orlu Street Off Owerri.
