Governor Otti clarified that his administration has not yet received any funds from the Federal Government to implement the proposed 35,000 Naira wage award for workers. Despite this, he promised to thoroughly consider the wage award demand from Abia workers. The governor emphasized his dedication to ensuring that the workforce receives the support and resources they need.

"We are committed to the welfare of our workers,ÔÇØ Otti said. "Although we have not received any funds from the Federal Government for the wage award, we will look into the demands of Abia workers and work towards a solution.ÔÇØ

In a bid to enhance labour relations and improve productivity, Governor Otti announced the creation of a new Ministry of Labour and Productivity. This ministry aims to streamline government efforts in addressing labour issues and boosting productivity within the state. "Our administration is poised to make necessary changes to the structure of government to better serve our people,ÔÇØ Otti stated.
