The Executive Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has dissolved the Governing Council of Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, Rumuola, Port Harcourt.

The council until the dissolution was headed by Senator Lee Maeba.

Speculations have it that the removal of Sen. Lee may be connected to his alleged loyalty to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party who is believed to be at loggerhead with Governor Wike over his choice of a running mate after defeating him (Wike) in the Presidential primaries.
