Gunmen Abduct Wife, Children Of Lawmaker Ibrahim Kurami In Katsina

Gunmen in the late hours of Saturday, September 4, stormed the residence of Dr. Ibrahim Kurami, the lawmaker representing Bakori Constituency in Katsina State, abducting his wife and two children.

The lawmaker was said to be absent when the incident happened.

This is amidst the Local Government Congress held last weekend by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to sources, the gunmen suspected to be bandits shot the security guards at Kurami's residence before abducting his family.

The security guard is said to be undergoing treatment in an undisclosed hospital.

Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Gambo Isah, is yet to release a statement regarding the abduction.
