Hon. Chinasa Hails Item People As "Pioneers and Captains of Industry" at Abuja Celebration

The Chief Liaison Officer of Abia State Liaison Office, Abuja, Hon. Iheanyi Frank Chinasa, has stirred nationwide discussion after boldly declaring that the people of Item Kingdom stand out as some of Nigeria's brightest minds, strongest innovators, and most impactful nation builders.

Speaking at the 2025 Item Day Celebration in Abuja, where he represented the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, Hon. Chinasa described Item indigenes as "pioneers, captains of industry, astute academicians and seasoned professionals" whose footprint can be felt across every sector of national development.

According to Chinasa, Item Kingdom is not just culturally rich but intellectually superior, consistently producing men and women who shape conversations in governance, commerce, education, entrepreneurship, security, technology, diplomacy, and humanitarian service.

He stressed that Governor Otti holds Item people in exceptionally high regard, noting that their integrity, discipline, unity, and excellence align perfectly with the administration's reform-driven philosophy.

Chinasa further highlighted the governor's people-centred development model, explaining that the massive infrastructural renewal ongoing in Abia is anchored on restoring dignity, accountability, and global-standard governance.

He charged the Item community-both at home and in the diaspora-to continue supporting the governor's modernization agenda and deepen their partnership with the state government in building "the Abia of collective dreams."

He praised the unity and cultural strength of Item Kingdom, describing them as "a model community whose example other ethnic divisions should emulate."

The event, witnessed by prominent Item sons and daughters in Abuja, reaffirmed the kingdom's reputation as a powerhouse of excellence and a pride of Abia North Zone.
