The Imo state government has debunked rumors suggesting that governor Hope Uzodinma was flown to India for medical attention as he was down with stroke.

Reacting to a voice message making round social media, the Imo state commissioner for information and Strategy, Hon. Declan Emelumba on Tuesday assured that the governor is hale and hearty, attending to his scheduled activities in the state and at the national level.

The Commissioner warned those circulating the false information to desist or face the consequences.

Emelumba noted that it was clear that those who do not wish the governor well have been fantasizing about a phantom illness, saying however that they will continue to be disappointed as Uzodimma is enjoying robust health and attending to state duties.

Emelumba urged the people of the state and Nigerians to disregard" this fabrication from mentally deranged elements seeking attention over nothing"

Emelumba said the matter has been handled over to the relevant security agencies to unravel those behind the satanic audio recording.

Recall that governor Hope Uzodinma on Tuesday, met with President Muhammadu Buhari alongside other APC governors in Abuja which makes the speculations unfounded.
