How 20 Passengers Died Along The Kaduna-Abuja Expressway| VIDEO
No fewer than twenty passengers have lost their lives in a road accident along the infamous Kaduna-Abuja Expressway.
The tragedy which saw the commuters succumb to death ensued when a bus rammed into a cement trailer parked along the Abuja/Kaduna road around 5am on Tuesday, May 17th.

In a video that emerged online, the utterly obliterated vehicle was up in flames.
Confirming the incident, the state Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Hafiz Muhammad stated the agency suspected fatigue on the part of the driver who was on a night journey.

"The bus crashed into aBUA Cement trailer and then went into flames. Twenty-two people were inside the bus out of which 20 died," he said

"Those who died include 17 male adults, 2 women and a minor. They said the trailer was parked when the bus went under it. It was terrible because we always caution bus drivers against night journeys,'' he added.

Muhammad went on to explain that while there is no law against night journeys, they are extremely risky as most accidents recorded along that route are due to night journeys.
