Prof. Yusuf Saidu, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research, Innovation, and Development at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, was tragically killed by suspected bandits on Monday while traveling from Sokoto to Kaduna.

In a statement, the university management confirmed the devastating news, saying, "The death has occurred of Prof. Yusuf Saidu, the current Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research, Innovation, and Development, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto."
