How Comrade Famous, Ijaw Youth Leader was assassinated

Ovwian community in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State was thrown into mourning following the killing of an Ijaw youth leader, Comrade Famous Belief Wonikiri-ebi by suspected assassins.

AFNEWS gathered that the assassins trailed him to his wife's shop along Onos School Road in Ovwian were he was shot on the neck and died on the spot.

Famous Belief Wonikiri-ebi until his death was the National Spokesman of Izanza Intellectual Camp IIC and hails from Tsekelewu Community in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta state.

A source who wants to remain anonymous told AFNEWS reporter on phone that late Comrade Famous Belief Wonikiri-ebi was a serious critics of the Interim Management Committee of the NDDC. The source stated further that late Comrade Famous Belief Wonikiri-ebi has been at the forefront of the campaign that IMC of NDDC is illegal and should be dissolved immediately.

According to the source, few days before his death he told him that he had been receiving threat messages and calls to back out of a proposed protest by Izanza Intellectual Camp group.
