How Hoodlums Set 15 Coach Kano Bound Train On Fire In Kwara | PHOTOS

A Kano State-bound train was on Tuesday, October 5, set ablaze by yet to be identified hoodlums in Kwara State.

The train which moved from Lagos State, was said to have made a stop for repairs at the Offa railway station in Kwara when the hoodlums set it on fire.

A statement released on Wednesday, by the Head of Media and Publicity, Kwara State Fire Service, Hassan Adekunle, said it rescued about 13 coaches of the train from burning, while two of the 15 coaches of the train conveying goods were completely burnt.

"The incident occurred about 5.17pm at Offa Railway Station in Offa, Kwara State. Out of the 15 coaches contained by the affected train, two were burnt due to the rigorous efforts made by fire fighters.ÔÇØ

Adekunle added that the Director of the State Fire Service, Falade Olumuyiwa, appealed to the public not to hesitate to call fire brigade on time whenever there is any fire emergency in their areas.
