How ISIS Commander, Nasser Qirdash was Captured

Reports reaching this online news platform at this time confirmed that the leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, ISIS, Abdul Nasser Qirdash who was hinted to have taken the place of the former commander of the terrorist group, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, has been reportedly arrested.

It was reported that Abdul was nabbed on Wednesday, May 20 by the Iraq special forces at a yet to be disclosed location.

The development was disclosed in a statement released by the Iraq national intelligence service a few moments ago, AFNews understands.

It reads: "Today, the terrorist named Abdulnasser al-Qirdash, the candidate to succeed the criminal al-Baghdadi, was arrested. [The arrest] came after accurate intelligence," the statement from the Iraqi National Intelligence Service read, according to a report in Al-Arabiya."

"He served as the head of the commission authorised by the terrorist organisation Daesh, and he worked with the organisation as a leader from the time of the terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi until the battles of al-Baghouz that he led himself."

AFNews recalls that the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo in January 2020 rejected the request of the Adele Abdul-Mahdi, Iraqi Prime Minister's to commence move to remove US military troops from Iraq.
