How Islamic Cleric Defrauded Victims Of N5.4m In Ogun State
An Islamic cleric, identified as Abdul Salami Yakub has been brought to book for defrauding some members of the public in Ogun State.

The Ogun State police command clamped down on the cleric and arrested him following a petition forwarded to the Commissioner of Police by one Rukayat Ibrahim.

According to Rukayat who made the petition, the suspect beguiled her and her younger sister, Oluwaseun Ibrahim to give him N5.475million as he claimed to have a spiritual solution to her daughter's problem.

Ogun state police spokesperson, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi who spoke after a complete search of Yakub's house disclosed a masquerade head, assorted charms and magic pots were recovered.
He went on to caution Nigerians against being desperate and careless in the search for spiritual solution to their problems.
