One Mr Vitalis Nwabuzor, a passenger on board one of Air Peace flights allegedly stole N1m from another passenger's bag.
According to a statement issued in Lagos on Wednesday by Air Peace spokesperson, Stanley Olisa, the incident happened on July 27 onboard Abuja-Port Harcourt flight P47192.
Nwabuzor allegedly stole the money which was in hard currencies contained in a brown envelope but was caught by the owner of the money, with the intervention of the airline's staff.
During the flight, the suspect took another passenger's computer bag from the overhead cabin.
"He, thereafter, took the brown envelope containing the money, put the computer bag in another luggage compartment and moved to an empty seat at the back of the aircraft,ÔÇØ Olisa explained.

The suspect moved closer to the exit and was amongst the first few to disembark, despite the announcement of disembarkation line by line beginning from the front.

He was however caught and the money retrieved from him.
