How NDLEA Caught Medical Doctor Selling Drugged Cookies, Biscuits Online.

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA), in Auchi, Edo State, has arrested a medical doctor, one Jane Ofoma, for selling drugged cookies and biscuits.

The 26-year-old suspect, graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and has recently completed her internship at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital.

According to the NDLEA, Ofoma who also runs an online catering service, uses her Omachi's Kitchen to sell drugged cookies and biscuits.

A statement released on Tuesday, June 22, by the Director, Media and Advocacy, NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, said following intelligence and surveillance, narcotic officers of the Edo State Command of the agency, on Saturday, June 19, 2021, stormed Ofoma's operational base at No. 1 Winners Way, Auchi, where she was arrested.

Babafemi said, no fewer than 94 pieces of cookies produced with cannabis sativa were recovered.

"She has confessed to baking the cookies with skunk in her statement, while under interrogation," Babafemi said.
