Kekere-Ekun emphasized the need for self-accountability among judges, asserting that individual integrity is paramount in preserving the judiciary's image. She noted that public trust in the judiciary relies on judges upholding clarity, stability, and fairness. Her speech highlighted that the public's acceptance of the law depends on its alignment with society's moral values, stressing the judiciary's responsibility to exercise authority fairly.

In a message to all legal practitioners, Kekere-Ekun pointed to the crucial role of lawyers as advocates of both legal and moral principles.
