How Pastor Allegedly Aborted 14-Year-Old Member's Pregnancy In Lagos | DETAILS
Pastor Rufus Olatunji of the Royal World Embassy Church, have allegedly defiled a 14-year-old member of his church, impregnated and coerced her to abort the pregnancy in Lagos state.

The 45 year old pastor was arraigned before an Ebute Meta Magistrates' court on a two-count charge of unlawful se-xual intercourse and procuring an abortion.

According to NAN, the Prosecutor, Inspector Kehinde Olatunde told the court that the defendant committed the offences in August 2021, at Royal World Embassy Church, Ipaja, which contravened Sections 137 and 145(1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

Olatunde alleged that the defendant had sexual intercourse with the girl in the Church's store.

The pastor was alleged to have giving the victim a pill to terminate the pregnancy when he found out. He was subsequently arrested after the victim's parents reported the matter to the police.

The presiding judge, Chief Magistrate, Mrs F.M. Kayode, refused to take Olatunji's plea, and ordered that he be remanded at Ikoyi Correctional Centre.

The matter was adjourned till March 8 for mention.
