SH-OCKING: How Physically Challenged Kidnapper Was Arrested In Katsina

One Buhari Haruna, a 22 year old physically challenged man, has been arrested by operatives of the Katsina State Police Command for attempted kidnap for ransom.

The suspect was paraded on Monday, September 20, 2021, for threatening to kidnap a target, one Hamisu Salisu in Kankia community.

The suspect who claimed to be a phone repairer, was said to have called his target on phone in August 20, 2021, demanding for N2M ransom to save himself and family or risk being kidnapped and killed.

According to the Command's spokesman, SP Isah Gambo, Haruna while making the call, notified his target that he had planned to kidnap his father, but changed his mind after realizing that he was sick and hospitalized.

Salisu was said to have reported to the police, who encouraged him to play along with the kidnapper and drop the ransom at the location given to him.

He was subsequently arrested by police operatives who were lying in wait when he went to pick up the ransom.

The physically challenged confessed to the crime,adding that it was his first time.
