How Police AIG Was Attacked In Bauchi, One Die | PHOTOS/ DETAILS

Gunmen on Tuesday, attacked the convoy of the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 12 in Bauchi, Audu Adamu Madaki, leaving him injured.

The attack which occurred at about 2:30pm at the Barde Zangidi area of the State, led to the death of an orderly attached to the AIG

An intelligence organisation, Eons Intelligence, via its verified Twitter handle on Wednesday, tweeted;

"The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 12 and his convoy were attacked yesterday 2 August 2022 at about 1430hrs at Barde Zangidi area of Bauchi State. The AIG sustained bullet injury while the orderly was shot dead.ÔÇØ

The AIG was reportedly on his way to Abuja before the incident. He is said to be receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital while security have been beefed up in that area.

Meanwhile, the Bauchi state police command is yet to formally release a statement on the incident.
